‍Varför vill Bona vara med i Biotech Heights?
Bona har alltid haft ett nära samarbete med forskning och akademin. Att gå in som partner i Biotech Heights är ett naturligt steg som gör det möjligt för oss att bidra till att skapa förutsättningar för ny forskning och expertis som driver utvecklingen framåt inom biobaserade material. Vi ser detta som en nyckel för framtiden, skiftet att använda biobaserade råvaror i stället för fossilbaserade material. Genom att delta i Biotech Heights kan vi vara med och bygga den infrastruktur som krävs för att skala upp innovationer och därmed bli en del av den hållbara omställningen.

Vad hoppas ni få ut av samarbetet?
Vi hoppas att samarbetet ger oss möjlighet att skapa nya kontakter och nätverk inom forskning och industri. Detär också ett sätt att öka vår kunskap om biobaserade material och hållbarhetslösningar. Genom att vara med kan vi bidra med utvärdering av produkteroch processer och samtidigt ta del av framtida resultat, vilket i sin tur öppnar för framtida möjligheter. 

Hur tror ni Bona kan bidra i hubben?
Vi kan bidra med vår expertis inom golvvårdsprodukter och polymerer och leverera produkter som kan testas ochutvärderas i projekt. Dessutom kan vi ge feedback och kompetens som ärv ärdefull för framtida utveckling. Bona kommer även att delta aktivt i styrgruppenför att forma partnerskap och projekt på ett strategiskt sätt.

Ni arbetar ofta i olika forskningsprojekt – vad ser ni som styrkan i det?
Styrkan ligger i att vi får tillgång till nätverk och kompetensutbyte, samtidigt som vi har närhet till akademin och möjlighet att driva innovationer och hållbarhetsinitiativ. Vi ser också värdet i att stödja lokal forskning och regionens utveckling. 

Vad ser ni för möjligheter inom bioteknik?
Bioteknik öppnar dörren för utveckling av förnyelsebara råvaror som kan ersätta fossila material. Det skapar förutsättningar för innovationer som stärker hållbarhetsarbetet och minskar miljöpåverkan. Vi ser även potential i att använda olika restprodukter, exempelvis tång, som framtida råvaror. Dessutom ger bioteknik möjlighet att koppla samman forskning och industri för att skapa nya lösningar som gynnar både miljön och affären.

Why is Bona a partner in Biotech Heights?
Bona has always had close collaboration with research and academia. Joining Biotech Heights as a partner is a natural step that enables us to contribute to creating the conditions for new research and expertise that drive development forward in biobased materials. We see this as a key to the future, the shift to using biobased raw materials instead of fossil-based materials. By participating in Biotech Heights, we can help build the infrastructure required to scale up innovations and thereby become part of the sustainable transition.

What do you hope to get out of the collaboration?
We hope that the collaboration gives us the opportunity to create new contacts and networks in research and industry. It is also a way to increase our knowledge of biobased materials and sustainability solutions. By participating, we can contribute with the evaluation of products and processes and at the same time take part in future results, which in turn opens up future opportunities.

How do you think Bona can contribute to the hub?
We can contribute with our expertise in floor care products and polymers and deliver products that can be tested and evaluated in projects. In addition, we can provide feedback and expertise that will be valuable for future development. Bona will also actively participate in the steering group to shape partnerships and projects in a strategic way.

Bona is active in various research projects - what do you see as the strength of that?
The strength lies in the fact that we get access to networks and the exchange of expertise, while we have proximity to academia and the opportunity to drive innovations and sustainability initiatives. We also see the value in supporting local research and the development of the region.

What opportunities do you see in biotechnology?
Biotechnology opens the door to the development of renewable raw materials that can replace fossil materials. This creates the conditions for innovations that strengthen sustainability work and reduce environmental impact. We also see potential in using various waste products, such as seaweed, as future raw materials. In addition, biotechnology provides an opportunity to connect research and industry to create new solutions that benefit both the environment and business.
